HIV/AIDS in Mozambique:
11,5% for Population between 15 and 49 years are infected by HIV/AIDS (2011). For the southern parts of the country official figures are more than twice as high as the national average. Increasing number of AIDS-deaths leaves more children orphaned every year, creating an orphan crisis.
School system in Mozambique:
All Mozambicans are required by law to attend school through primary level. However, a lot of children in Mozambique do not go to school because they have to work for their families’ subsistence farms for a living. Furthermore, almost half of all teachers in Mozambique still do not have a professional education.
